Broadband DOA estimation method based on eigenvector space focusing

摘要:

针对传统宽带阵列信号波达方向(direction of arrival, DOA)估计方法中由入射角预估带来的DOA估计偏差及其在多径效应等环境下的应用问题,提出基于特征向量空间聚焦的宽带阵列DOA估计方法。首先,考虑多径干扰等对DOA估计算法的影响,对接收信号自相关矩阵进行平滑处理。然后,以平滑自相关矩阵特征向量空间过渡性为基础,构造聚焦矩阵,并证明其完美聚焦性。理论分析及仿真结果表明,该方法无需对入射信号角度值进行预估,有效避免了聚焦误差,算法复杂度较低,提高了估计精度及效率。

Abstract:

In order to solve the problem of the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation error caused by the angle of incidence estimation in the traditional DOA estimation method of broadband array signal and its application in the environment of multipath effect, a DOA estimation method of broadband array signals based on eigenvector space focusing is proposed. Firstly, considering the influence of multipath interference on the DOA estimation algorithm, the autocorrelation matrix of the received signal is smoothed. Then, based on the transition of eigenvector space of the smooth autocorrelation matrix, the focusing matrix is constructed and its perfect focusing property is proved. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the method does not need to estimate the angle value of the incident signal, effectively avoids the focusing error, has low complexity, and improves the estimation accuracy and efficiency.
