Design of the IF receiving module in a new type of ionospheric sounding system

摘要: 首先依据短波数字化接收机设计理论构架了一种基于软件无线电思想的中频接收模块平台。通过分析系统的功能需求以及接收回波的特性,讨论了该模块各部分功能的实现,重点介绍了信号采集和处理单元的实现技术。此中频接收模块应用在基于伪随机码调相脉冲压缩体制的新型电离层斜向返回探测系统中,可以实时获得丰富的电离层探测数据。该接收模块的设计以DSPs、FPGA技术为核心,具有处理方式灵活、实时处理能力强、升级空间大等优点。雷达系统的探测结果证明了该接收模块设计的合理性和实用性。

Abstract: Firstly,according to HF receiver design philosophy,this paper presents the platform of an IF receiving module which is based on the software radio.By means of analyzing the system’s functional requirements and the receiving echo characteristic,this paper discusses the implementations in each several part of this module.Above all,it especially introduces the implementing technique of signal collecting and processing unit.This IF receiving module has acted on a new type ionospheric oblique backscattering sounding system,which bases on the pseudo-random noise phase modulated pulse compression,can obtain abundant ionospheric sounding data.Because of utilizing the DSPs and FPGA technology as the core of whole system,the receiving module has the advantages of flexible processing methods,real-time digital processing and great easiness of upgrading.The sounding results indicate the justification and practicability of the receiving module.
