Abstract:

Aiming at the problem of dynamic initial alignment and calibration for the low precision micro-inertial navigation system of the miniature intelligent air-vehicle (MIA), the navigation information transfer technology based on radar is proposed. The radar and its carrier are regarded as a rigid body and the navigation information transfer system based on radar is designed. Based on the principle of radar passive direction finding, a estimating algorithm which calculates the direction of arrival (DOA) of the radar main lobe is established, which is called as multiple image compression-propagator method (MIC-PM) algorithm. Theory and simulation analysis show that the MIC-PM algorithm can greatly reduce the computation relative to PM algorithm, and the DOA estimating time is 9.3×10-3s, which satisfies the real-time requirement of the MIA navigation information transfer. At the same time, estimation precision is improved in the case of low signal to noise ratio.

Key words: miniature intelligent air-vehicle (MIA), navigation information transfer, radar passive direction finding, multiple image compression-propagator method (MIC-PM) algorithm
