Abstract:

The system-of-systems (SoS) is the inevitable direction for the system to develop towards complexity, and SoS reliability is an important guarantee for the stable and normal operation of it. Firstly, starting from SoS and SoS engineering, the current research status of SoS is analyzed, and the existing problems are proposed. Secondly, the relevant concepts of equipment SoS reliability are analyzed, and the definition and a technical framework of it is proposed, including SoS reliability capability analysis, reliability-oriented architecture development, and reliability verification and evaluation. Subsequently, based on aerospace engineering practice, the concept of aerospace equipment SoS reliability is given, and an application case is presented to the reliability analysis and design technology of aerospace equipment SoS, including survivability, robustness, and supportability. Finally, the development trend of SoS reliability research is discussed from the aspects of SoS reliability connotation, failure mechanism, network reliability, reliability technology, and reliability engineering management, providing reference for the study of SoS reliability, especially equipment SoS reliability.

Key words: system-of-systems (SoS), SoS engineering, equipment SoS, SoS reliability, resilience
