Abstract:

When the desired signal is present in the training data, the traditional mainlobe interference suppression algorithm based on eigen-projection matrix preprocessing (EMP) will cause severe degradation. This is because the eigen beam corresponding to the mainlobe interference is prone to peak shift under the disturbance of the desired signal, which makes the mainlobe interference difficult to completely remove, especially when multiple mainlobe interferences exist. In this paper, the interference plus noise covariance matrix is reconstructed by estimating the signal and noise power and zeroing the desired signal power, so that the influence of the desired signal is eliminated and the mainlobe interference can be fully removed. The mainlobe interference power is further set to zero, and the sidelobe interference plus noise covariance matrix is used for beamforming. The array pattern can form a deeper null in the direction of sidelobe interference than the covariance matrix reconstruction method. Simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively suppress multiple mainlobe interferences and possesses good robustness.
