Abstract: To solve the interference cancellation problem of the coherent adaptive beamforming with small snapshot number, a new HungTuner projection (HTP) algorithm based adaptive beamformer in single snapshot case is proposed. First, a Duvall eigenanalysis canceler is constructed to remove the signal of interest (SOI) in the received signal. Then the spatial smoothing is applied to decorrelate the coherent signals, after which the interference subspace is reconstructed rapidly using HTP algorithm with GramSchmidt orthogonalization. Finally, the optimal weight vector is obtained as an orthogonal projection onto the interference subspace of the static vector. Simulation proves that the proposed method can reduce the subspace estimation error caused by the leakage of the SOI, and is computationally simple as well as beneficial to realtime processing.
