Abstract: The acceleration of maneuvering targets can make the traditional inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) imaging algorithm invalid. An effective ISAR imaging algorithm for these targets is proposed. The second-order phase terms caused by the acceleration are eliminated via correlation in the Doppler spectrum. To suppress the cross-terms of multi-component linear frequency modulated(LFM) signals,an adaptive correlation algorithm is presented by setting proper threshold values. Finally, the simulation and imaging results of measured data prove the validity of this algorithm.
