Receiving characteristics of electromagnetic compatibility active monopole antenna based on temperature effect

Abstract:

To solve the problem that the performance of the antenna in out-field electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test is affected by the temperature, which leads to the error of the test results, taking the active monopole antenna commonly used in the EMC radiated emission test as the research object, the influence mechanism of the temperature change on the receiving performance of the antenna is analyzed, and a temperature-effect-based testing method for antenna receiving characteristics is proposed. The variation pattern of typical antenna receiving characteristics with temperature and the antenna coefficient error correction curve are obtained for error correction of test results in out-field natural temperature environments. The results show that the maximum receiving error of a typical active monopole antenna can reach 5 dB within the temperature range of ?40°C to 50°C. Through error correction, not only the usage range of the antenna can be extended, but it can also provide a reference for the out-field use of similar antennas.
