Abstract:

To eliminate the electromagnetic interference in electronic warfare field, a structure of self-interference suppression for a point-to-point communication scenario is studied, and an experimental testbed is designed to verify the proposed self-interference suppression architecture in electromagnetic spectrum umbrella systems. Firstly, the received signal at the authorized receiver is compensated with the estimated frequency offset. And then, the local umbrella reference self-interference is compensated with the estimated time delay and channel estimation. Finally, the reconstruction and cancellation of the umbrella self-interference signal is performed. Experimental results show that the proposed umbrella self-interference suppression architecture can effectively suppress the umbrella self-interference signals at the authorized receiver, which is expected to be used for tactical spectrum management to guarantee the electromagnetic dominance of the authorized users.
