Beam position scheduling method of OTHR based on combined EDF and multiple templates

Abstract:

Sky wave over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) can both detect air targets and sea targets, having good capability of performing complex and diversified mission. The beam scheduling problem of OTHR must be concerned for optimizing the overall detection effectiveness. Combined with the working mode and mission characteristics, the resource scheduling idea of phased array radar is introduced, and a new scheduling method combining earliest deadline first (EDF) and multiple templates is studied. First, the deadline is defined newly and the calculating method of task priority is improved. Then, three kinds of templates of beam position scheduling are designed. Finally, the scheduling templates are chosen adaptively according to the calculating method of task priority. This method can provide exquisite resource deployment of OTHR in complex and diversified early warning detection mission, which accordingly optimizes detection effectiveness.
