Abstract: According to the common characters in the process of real-time imaging of the synthetic aperture radar(SAR),such as huge data volume, high IO bandwidth and complex algorithm,a distributed-system architecture based on the shared memory is proposed. The schemes of high IO bandwidth, high performance and large memory are introduced. The implementation of hardware is described in detail and the test results are shown. Finally, the utility of the architecture is demonstrated with the measured echo data.
