Design of high-efficiency FRM notch filter with frequency point accurately controlled

Abstract: To reduce the hardware cost of notch filter with the notch frequency point accurately controlled as far as possible,a novel notch filter design algorithm combining the techniques of all-phase filtering and frequency response masking(FRM) is presented.Based on introducing phase-shift measure into the design of all-phase notch filter with single window,and deducing the numerical relation between the order N of the prototype filter,the interpolation factor M,the integer position m of notch frequency and the phase-shift parameter λ,one novel simple and practical notch filtering structure can be constructed.Both theoretical and simulation experiments show that this novel design algorithm not only guarantees that the notch filter has sufficient attenuation at the accurate frequency point,but also reduces the cost and enhances the notch filtering efficiency.
