Abstract: To investigate the adaptive resource allocation scheme for multi-user MIMO-OFDM(multiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) systems, the Two Steps adaptive allocation algorithm and the joint allocation algorithm are compared, and the performance of the adaptive allocation algorithm for the MIMO-OFDM system is analyzed by changing the number of the transceiver antennas. An improved subcarrier and bit-power allocation algorithm based on the subcarrier multiplexing algorithm that two users can send data at the same subcarrier synchronously is proposed, and the iterative process of the bit readjustment for the joint subcarrier and bit-power allocation is improved. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the complexity of the joint subcarrier and bit-power allocation without decreasing the BER performance of the system.
