Abstract:

Focusing on the serious performance degradation of the reduced dimension space-time adaptive processing (STAP) when it fails to meet the demand of independent identical distribution (IID) training samples, an improved time-delay aliasing transmission jamming method is proposed. This method mainly produces multiple false targets with controllable distribution of distance units through time-delay aliasing and frequency modulation, which become part of the training samples selected in the forward filtering stage of STAP. Thus, the condition of IID training samples is destroyed, leading to the main lobe distortion of the space-time adaptive weight, and the real target information cannot be obtained. The simulation results show that the false targets generated by this method are numerous and the distribution of distance units is controllable. The performance of the reduced dimension STAP system is severely degraded.
