Abstract:

In the hardware in the loop calculation of the wideband radar target echo signal, the system needs to meet the requirements of real time and simulation accuracy simultaneously. A method of wideband radar target echo signal simulation based on linear frequency modulation (LFM) sub pulse is proposed, which divides the LFM pulse signal into several narrowband and shortterm linear frequency modulation pulses, and reconstructs the broadband target echo signal of the full pulse by calculating the target echo signal which corresponds to each subpulse. The computational load and the requirement for the hardware resources of the algorithm can be efficiently reduced, thus the real time performance of the algorithm is improved as well. The computer simulation demonstrates that this method is feasible and has high calculation accuracy.
