Abstract:

Aiming at the problems of complex inter-satellite routing and unbalanced load of gateway satellites in low-earth-orbit mega-constellation networks, the inter-satellite routing cost in the satellite-ground access strategy is considered, and an access strategy based on the minimum routing cost is proposed. The strategy is divided into three stages: in the shortest hop estimation stage, the hops of inter-satellite routing from the user terminal to the gateway satellite are estimated according to the location of the user terminal and the gateway; in the gateway satellite allocation stage, a bipartite graph model is established based on the estimated hops, the gateway satellite and the type of access satellite is determined by using the weighted least cost matching algorithm; in the access satellite selection stage, the optimal access satellite is selected from certain types of visual satellites by using the weighting method of inter-satellite routing hops and satellite-ground communication elevation angle. The simulation results show that the proposed method can significantly reduce the hops of inter-satellite routing of the whole system, improve the load balancing of the gateway satellites and the access success rate of users.
