Abstract:

High pulse repetition frequency (HPRF) sum difference antenna radar has important applications in missile-borne. It faces the problem of ground and sea clutter suppression with multiple range ambiguity in ultra-low altitude moving target detection. In view of the above problem, a clutter suppression approach of sum-difference channel time-domain cancellation is proposed. Based on the high correlation of clutter power spectrum between sum and difference channels, this approach uses difference-difference-double difference channels data to estimate clutter covariance matrix, and fits the clutter covariance matrix of sum channel, and achieves clutter cancellation of sum channel based on minimum variance criterion, which improves the clutter suppression performance of missile-borne radar. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
