Abstract:

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) can detect and recognize targets through key information such as size, attitude and contour in high-resolution images, which poses a serious threat to key military targets. How to effectively control the radar characteristics of targets so that they are not easy to be found and distinguished by SAR has become a key problem in the field of jamming. Compared with active jamming, passive jamming has the advantages of low cost, fast response speed and simple operation. However, poor flexibility and difficult in pulse modulation have plagued the development of passive jamming. To solve the above problems, a two-dimensional modulation method of SAR image based on time-varying materials is proposed. This method uses phase-switched screen (PSS) and electronic control to jointly modulate the intra pulse and inter pulse of radar signal. By controlling the modulation parameters, the flexible switching of range, azimuth and two-dimensional multi false target images can be realized. Real time simulation of SAR image data shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
