Research on adaptive setting optimization of accumulation time for the sky-wave OTHR detecting air targets

Abstract:

In view of the blindness of setting coherent accumulation time manually, which cannot give full play to the detection performance of the sky-wave OTHR, the adaptive accumulation time setting optimization method is designed for air targets detection. Firstly, the influence factors of accumulation time on the detection performance of the sky-wave OTHR are analyzed. Secondly, the optimal values of signal time width and accumulation number are calculated. Thirdly, a method of setting accumulation time adaptively is proposed. Finally, the experiment shows that the method in this paper can improve the radar detection performance.
