Abstract:

Distributed orthogonal frequency division multiplexingmultiple input multiple output (OFDMMIMO) radar is a new radar system. For the clutter suppression of this radar, the echo model of the radar is firstly built up, and then, the impact of space diversity and frequency diversity on the improvement factor is analyzed. Furthermore, the clutter suppression technique based on moving target indication (MTI) is proposed and the performance of the proposed method is analyzed. Compared to the traditional MIMO radar with the same carrier frequency signal, due to the degreeoffreedoms brought by frequency diversity, distributed OFDMMIMO radar can improve the detection capability of the target whose Doppler frequency falls into the notch of the MTI filter. Both theory results and simulation tests validate the availability of the proposed method.
