Abstract:

The filtering of ground targets, which can improve the track of targets in quality effectively, is an important part of track optimization of an airborne early warningradar. Considering the problem, a method of ground and air target recognition based on road information is studied. First, a fast arithmetic which matches target filtering plots to a section of a road is given, which can choose the roads used to recognize ground and air targets. Then, the corresponding recognition rules based on the similarity of track and road are designed when a target moves along a straight road or a flexural road. Finally, a simulation is implemented to validate the recognition rule above. The simulation results show that when the rule is adopted, the recognition probabilities of ground targets and air targets whose tracks are not very similar to roads are high.
