Abstract:

Based on the jamming mechanism of noisejammer against active sonar and the underwater acoustic jamming equation, the calculation of the effective jamming suppressing zone (EJSZ) of noisejammers is proposed when jammer and target are in the same position as well as are not in the same position, and the latter configuration includes two different situations, namely aiming the sonar beam main lobe at the target and the noisejammer, respectively. To counter the planar array active sonar, for example, the EJSZ of the sonar beam main lobe and side lobe interfered by the noisejammer is presented under a certain situation. The results show that the EJSZ is related to the performance of the noisejammer, active sonar and their relative position, and the EJSZ is more bigger when the sonar beam main lobe is interfered by the noisejammer.
