Abstract:

A robust adaptive fuzzy control scheme (FLS) is presented for a class of chaotic systems with nonaffine inputs, modeling uncertainties and external disturbances. The fuzzy logic system is introduced to estimate the unknown nonlinear functions, the approximation errors of fuzzy systems are only required norm-bounded. The adjustable parameters in FLS are updated using a σ modification adaptive law, the tracking errors are guaranteed to be uniformly asymptotically stable. The overall adaptive scheme guarantees that all signals involved are bounded. Three examples of Duffing-Holmes system, Genesio system and Sprott circuit chaotic system are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design scheme.
