Abstract: Compared with the accurate measurement method of the target radar cross section (RCS) in the darkroom and on the fixed radar platform, a dynamic measurement method of the target RCS based on attitude correction is proposed. This method is suitable for airborne, boatborne and balloonborne mobile radar platforms. Taking the active standard target as the reference target, the correction method of the directional factor of the radar antenna and the active standard target antenna, the study of the spatial geometric relationship and the estimation method of polarization inconsistency are established to realize dynamic measurement of the target RCS. The validity of the method is validated by the Sband airborne radar. The results show that the method has high measurement accuracy and experimental operability. It can provide important technical support for the dynamic measurement of the target RCS.
