Abstract:

A seven degree ballistic model for a new type of guided projectile is established. The numerical simulation for the ballistic property is analyzed according to the established mathematical model. The unscented Kalman filter (UKF) is also used for the reconstruction and filtering for the measured ballistic data. This process can make the measured ballistic data more accurate and can supply reliable measurement data for the guided system. The simulation result shows that the main difference between dual-spinning projectile and traditional spinning projectile is that the spinning rate along the symmetric axis is divided into two parts. The former part keeps a lower spinning rate or even static to make the property of control system to be better and the aft part maintains a higher spinning rate to hold the gyroscopic stability. The UKF is also used to eliminate the errors in the measured data.
