Abstract:

The relay transmission system using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has received much attention recently, since it can provide reliable and efficient wireless connectivity for the remote transmission between two separated nodes. A two-hop amplify-and-forward (AF) relay transmission model based on the UAV is set up firstly, and the expression of equivalent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is obtained. Then, a novel scheme joint optimal beamforming with power allocation is proposed to maximize the mutual information of the relay system. Next, the analytical expressions of the outage probability and the ergodic capacity are derived to investigate the system performance efficiently. Finally, computer simulation results prove that not only the validity of the proposed scheme and the performance analysis is examined, but also the superiority of the employed multiple antennas as well as the optimal design is confirmed.
