Abstract:

In the complicated electromagnetic environment, it is still a typical engineering problem demanding prompt solution to accurately measure the electromagnetic radiation of electrical equipment. A new measurement method suppressing ambient interference for in-situ tests is proposed. Different from the traditional virtual microwave chamber method based on adaptive noise cancellation technology, in the proposed method, technologies in array signal processing, such as spatial spectral estimation and adaptive beam forming, are adopted to filter the electromagnetic interference in space domain. Simulation and experimental test simultaneously prove that this measurement method could effectively filter the cochannel interferences and broadband interferences, guaranteeing the distortion free of radiation characteristic of testing equipment at the same time. This novel method has made up the shortages in virtual chamber technology. The speed and accuracy are significantly improved for insitu electromagnetic radiation tests.
