Abstract:

Quantitative feedback theory (QFT) is a robust control design method in frequency domain. To guarantee tracking and stability performances of a control system with parametic uncertainties, QFT quantitatively projects the uncertainty and design specifications on the Nichols chart. Due to the characteristics of QFT, it is used to design a longitudinal flight control law for a subsonic unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The simulation results show that compared with the control law designed by the classic control theory, the robust control law by using QFT is better in tracking and stability performances and with higher control efficiency. And the application of QFT in the flight control law design is validated.
