Abstract:

In order to deal with the mistake that the multiple hypothesis method makes for the high pulserepetition frequency (HPRF) radar range ambiguity resolving when ambiguous interval changes, a hybrid filter method based on interacting multiple model (IMM) for range ambiguity resolving is proposed. The hybrid state to be estimated contains both the continuous target states such as target radial range and velocity, and the discretevalued pulse interval number and its incremental variable. Thus, the range ambiguity resolving problem can be converted as a hybrid filter problem. Simulation results demonstrate that for two cases, such as the case when the target is detected on more than two frames in the first dwell and the case when the target is detected on only one frame, the proposed method can overcome the deficiency of the existing multiple hypothesis method and resolve the range ambiguity correctly with the variation of the fuzzy interval.
