Abstract:
Research show that the output of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) contains lowfrequency oscillation errors which can significantly influence the stability of gyrocompassing alignment. In order to eliminate the negative effect of gyroscope oscillation errors on azimuth alignment, frequency domain analysis method is used to analyze the frequency characteristics of gyrocompassing alignment system. In addition, the impacts of gyroscope oscillation error of different frequencies are introduced. Finally, a design approach of gyrocompassing parameter is introduced. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the impacts of oscillation errors can be effectively restricted by utilizing this approach.
