Abstract:

High-speed wireless data transmission requires adaptive resource allocation to combat radio impairments. A maximum average capacity algorithm based on single carrier frequency division multiple access(SC-FDMA) used for dynamic subcarrier allocation is proposed. On this foundation, a fairness factor is introduced to present a adjustable fairness algorithm for taking the tradeoff between allocation fairness and sum capacity. The results indicate that the maximum average capacity algorithm arrive at the same sum capacity and bit error rate as the greedy algorithm with complexity significantly decreasing. It is concluded that the adjustable fairness algorithm adjust the fairness degree of resource allocation in a wide range by changing the fairness factor and with no complexity increasing.
