Abstract:

A passive angular blinking jamming method based on cascaded towed scattering-controlled reflector is proposed to meet the demand of aircraft evading single pulse guidance head attacks. The reflector can be quickly switched between the reflection mode and the penetration mode through electronically controlled modulation, thereby producing a complex angular blinking effect. Firstly, motion characteristics of reflector are analyzed through the Lagrange equation. Secondly, the mathematical model of the blinking jamming is established. Finally, the angle jamming effects of electrically controlled reflector on the single pulse seeker with steering maneuvering conditions is analyzed. The results show that using pseudo-random signals to modulate the radar cross section of the reflector can significantly increase the angle measurement error of the guidance head, with an error of over 1.8°. This method proves effective in countering the angular tracking capability of the monopulse radar, showing potential to serve as a penetration means for high-value maneuvering targets.
