Abstract:

Current operation simulation models suffer from lagging situational understanding and inability to update physical models, which affects the effectiveness of subsequent situation deduction and decision-making. Therefore, the concept of the digital twin battlefield is proposed, and a four-layer architecture model for the digital twin battlefield is established. The deployment of the digital twin battlefield, its life-cycle use, and its potential use value are analyzed based on this model. Additionally, the key technologies required for digital twin battlefield modeling are discussed from four perspectives: multi-source data acquisition and processing, twin battlefield modeling, model dynamic update, and situation deduction and decision-making. By utilizing of this operation simulation model, more efficient decision-making can be made by command organizations.

Key words: digital twin battlefield, command decision-making, multi-source data acquisition, operation modeling, model update, situation deduction
