Abstract:

Building a highly reliable time synchronization system is a crucial challenge in the field of in-vehicle communication applications. The time synchronization mechanism and multi-domain redundancy characteristics of in-vehicle time sensitive network are introduced. The approach of achieving link redundancy through multi-domain time synchronization is briefly analyzed, pinpointing the key issues in multi-domain time selection. To address this, a mathematical model for time error analysis is established to examine error sources. Based on this model, an architecture for a multi-domain time synchronization protocol stack system is proposed. Additionally, an alternating synchronization domain selection algorithm and a time window-based minimum hop count priority domain selection algorithm are designed. Furthermore, a network simulation platform is utilized to construct a simulation experimental environment for evaluating the proposed design and algorithms. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithms not only ensure link redundancy but also effectively enhance the performance of time synchronization.
