Design of high-IF DBF system based on RF transceiver

Abstract:

Digital beam forming (DBF) system requires multiple antenna units to form the beam, which will greatly increase the system's size and power consumption and cannot be well applied in unmanned aerial vehicle, missile and micro-nano satellite platform. To solve the above problems, a kind of design method of a new high intermediate frequency (high-IF) architecture DBF system hardware circuit based on the radio frequency (RF) transceiver AD9371 is proposed. This design meets the requirements of full digital transmission and reception, high precision, flexibility, miniaturization and K-under (Ku) band, while effectively reducing the hardware system spurious interference and improving the performance of the DBF system. The superior performance of the system has been verified under single beam and multi-beam conditions in the darkroom environment test.
