Abstract:

Aiming at the high hardware cost and high power consumption caused by high-resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC) receiver to large-scale multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system, the application scheme of low-resolution ADC in millimeter wave MIMO orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) quantization system is studied. By extending the generalized Turbo signal detection algorithm in single input single output (SISO) quantization system to MIMO-OFDM quantization system, the low complexity implementation scheme of the algorithm is realized. In MIMO-OFDM system, when the bit error rate is 10-3, the GTurbo algorithm can obtain about 3dB performance gain compared with the generalized approximate message passing (GAMP) algorithm. Simulation results show that compared with the GAMP algorithm, the proposed algorithm is more suitable for large-scale antenna array system.

Key words: low resolution analog to digital converter (ADC), multiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) quantization system, signal detection
