Abstract:

The integration of radar and communication can effectively integrate the radio frequency (RF) resources of the system and realize target detection and communication by using RF front-end simultaneously. In allusion to the high range sidelobe caused by random communication data and the overlapped echoes of short range, a new expansion method by series-wound discrete Fourter transform (DFT) matrix is proposed. A novel scheme of integrated radar and communication based on complete complementary codes is designed. The scheme adopts the spread spectrum multi-carrier signal framework. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that, the design can implement the detection of short range targets and achieve low-level range sidelobe, and satisfy the requirement of multi-user transmission and radcom based signal-sharing.

Key words: multi-functional integrated radio frequency system, intergation of radar and communication, signal-sharing, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), spreading spectrum technology
