正交投影阵列信号子空间估计方法

Orthogonal projection method for array signal subspace estimation

摘要: 利用特征值分解构造信号子空间存在运算量大的问题,制约了子空间类参数估计方法的实时应用。提出一种新的正交投影阵列信号子空间估计方法,该方法不需要特征值分解,通过对阵列接收数据逐级进行正交投影分解构造阵列信号子空间的一组基向量,使得每个基向量方向上信号投影能量最大,从而保证所张成的信号子空间包含最大的信号能量。定义了衡量子空间估计精度的信号和噪声子空间估计误差函数。理论分析和仿真结果表明,所提方法计算复杂度低,且子空间估计精度优于特征值分解。

Abstract: To lower the high computational burden caused by the eigenvalue decomposition(EVD) based subspace estimation methods,a new orthogonal projection(OP) based fast subspace estimation method is proposed.Basis of the subspace is calculated iteratively by OP without EVD.The signal energy in each basis direction is maximized to guarantee the maximum signal energy in the spanned signal-subspace.The signal-subspace estimation error function and the noise-subspace estimation error function are defined to evaluate subspace estimation performance.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the OP algorithm is computationally simple and with even-better subspace estimation performance compared with EVD.
