Abstract:

A novel key pre-distribution scheme is proposed for hierarchical wireless sensor networks. This scheme employs Shamir’s secret sharing technique in intra-cluster pairwise key establishment. Compared with existing key management schemes, this scheme has a higher resilient ability against the nodes capture attack and collusion attack. Moreover, it is optimal in storage overhead of sensor nodes and requires low computation and communication overhead over the whole network. In addition, the scheme guarantees a full connection at intracluster.
