Abstract:

The multiple emitters tracking task is influenced by factors such as the sweeping method of the radiation source antenna and changes in working parameters, and there are certain time-varying characteristics in terms of target types and quantities. The adaptability to this feature is an important indicator for assessing the tracking ability of electronic support measures (ESM) emitters. Based on this, an iterative time-frequency sweeping scheme optimization model is established firstly. Then, with the goal of assessing the adaptability of ESM to the time-varying characteristics of multiple emitter tracking tasks, a performance assessment method based on feasible zone is proposed. Simulation experiment results show that in the process of dynamic changes in the number of different types of targets, the assessment results provided by the proposed method can be consistent with the actual performance of the sweeping scheme, and have accurate dynamic assessment capabilities.

Key words: electronic support measures (ESM), time-frequency sweeping scheme, performance assessment, feasible zone
