Receiver group delay measurement technology based on carrier phase

Abstract:

Aiming at the problem that the traditional group delay measurement method cannot meet the picosecond measurement accuracy requirements, a receiver group delay measurement technology based on carrier phase is proposed. Under the assumption that the delay characteristics of the channel group are piecewise parabola, this method uses the carrier phase view measurement of the narrow-band spread spectrum signal to search and fix the piecewise coefficient, and fix the integer ambiguity through the fixed parabola coefficient to reflect the group delay of each point with the carrier phase. The simulation shows that the measurement technology can accurately fix the integer ambiguity, and the group delay measurement results can reach the picosecond requirements, which has good measurement effect on the group delay of high precision navigation receivers.
