Abstract:

To solve the problem of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of coherent signals in the presence of channel amplitudephase errors, a method based on crosscorrelation vectors is proposed. Firstly, the time delay of array state transition is controlled to ensure that the observed data of each subarray have a property of rotational invariance. Then, error coefficients can be estimated with the ratio of different elements from crosscorrelation vectors. Meanwhile, the decorrelation of coherent signals can be accomplished by reconstructing an equivalent covariance matrix, which is made of crosscorrelation vectors without error coefficients. Moreover, angle offset caused by different time delays is analyzed. Simulation confirms that the proposed algorithm is effective in channel amplitudephase errors calibration and decorrelation, which has high resolution characteristics similar to the spatial smoothing algorithm without amplitudephase errors.
