Abstract:
A multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problem, in which attributes weights take the form of real numbers and attribute values take the form of uncertain linguistic variables, is investigated, a new group decision making method is proposed. The operational principles of uncertain linguistic variables are introduced. A new uncertain linguistic information aggregation operator, dependent uncertain linguistic ordered weighted geometric (DULOWG) operator, is developed, in which the associated weight only depends on the aggregated uncertain linguistic variable which can relieve the influence of unfair linguistic variables on the aggregated result by assigning low weights to those “false” and “biased” ones. A method based on the ULWGM and DULOWG operators for multiple attribute group decision making is presented. Finally, an illustrative example is given.
