Abstract:

A multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problem, in which attributes weights take the form of real numbers and attribute values take the form of uncertain linguistic variables, is investigated, a new group decision making method is proposed. The operational principles of uncertain linguistic variables are introduced. A new uncertain linguistic information aggregation operator, dependent uncertain linguistic ordered weighted geometric (DULOWG) operator, is developed, in which the associated weight only depends on the aggregated uncertain linguistic variable which can relieve the influence of unfair linguistic variables on the aggregated result by assigning low weights to those “false” and “biased” ones.  A method based on the ULWGM and DULOWG operators for multiple attribute group decision making is presented. Finally, an illustrative example is given.
