Abstract: Traditional clutter suppression is inapplicable to the wideband radar as the migration through range cells(MTRCs) occurs between coherent echoes. The keystone formatting algorithm could mitigate the MTRCs,but it is useless when the ambiguity factors of targets are different.A novel method of clutter suppression suitable for wideband target recognition radar is proposed, which integrates with the keystone transformation and extracts the information of target and rejected clutter in the domain of frequence-Doppler.This novel method solves the difficult problem of how to mitigate the MTRCs when the ambiguity factors of target and clutter are different.Experimental results on simulated data prove that the proposed method can keep the good performance of recognition despite the low input SCR.
