Abstract:

A robust detection algorithm for the spatial distributed target with steering vector mismatch due to target’s rotation during a coherent processing interval (CPI) is proposed. The proposed detector, robust generalized likelihood rate test (RGLRT), is derived by estimating signals from every range cell through maximum likelihood (ML) method and Lagrange multiplier method. It is proved that the RGLRT has the property of a constant false alarm rate (CFAR). Finally, experimental results for measured data of two planes illustrate that the proposed algorithm achieves a visible performance improvement comparing with the conventional GLRT method.
