Modeling method of hybrid warfare system-of-systems based on multi-layer network

Abstract:

Hybrid warfare is a hot research topic in modern warfare theory. It aims to conduct comprehensive geopolitical competition by combining military and non-military measures. However, most current hybrid warfare research focus on qualitative theoretical analysis. There is still a lack of objective and quantitative modeling and description methods for hybrid warfare system-of-systems. Considering the strategic confrontation characteristics of hybrid warfare, a modeling method for hybrid warfare system-of-systems based on multi-layer network is proposed. The multi-layer network model of hybrid war system-of-systems is constructed. The influence diffusion method of warfare strategies in the multi-layer network model is also studied. Finally, modeling and deduction are conducted on a hybrid warfare case to verify the effectiveness of the proposed modeling method. The research of this paper has important theoretical and practical significance. It can promote the quantitative analysis and research-of-hybrid warfare system-of-systems based on network science, and provide a strategic reference for national defense policy facing the threat of hybrid warfare.
