Abstract:

When the monopulse radar seeker is subjected to angular centroid jamming, the angle measurement results are biased, causing the missile to deviate from the ship target. The premise of countering centroid jamming is the detection of interference presence. This paper focuses on the polarized array system and analyzes the statistical characteristics of the polarization complex monopulse ratio for single and multiple targets in detail. Subsequently, based on the principle of constant false alarm detection, a closed-form solution for hyper-ellipsoid decision domain is derived, and a multi-target decision algorithm using the polarization complex monopulse ratio is proposed. On this basis, considering the range extension characteristics of the ship, a detection method for the presence of angular centroid jamming is proposed. Simulation results show that the detection performance of the proposed algorithm is superior to that of conventional monopulse radar, the target polarization scattering matrix affects the detection performance of the proposed algorithm; and the proposed algorithm can effectively detect in the two scenarios that are set.

Key words: corner reflector centroid jamming, polarimetric complex monopulse ratio, hyper-ellipsoid decision domain, jamming presence detection
