Abstract:

In addressing the issue of pseudo-code estimation for direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) signals, an estimation method based on novel information criterion (NIC) and Givens rotation, is proposed, under the assumption of known DS-CDMA signal parameters. This method constructs a data matrix by segmenting the observed data into non-overlapping segments, corresponding to one pseudo-code period. The NIC is employed to identify the principal subspace within the data matrix, while Givens rotation is used to extract the signal principal components. Finally, the Massey algorithm is used to recover the multi-user generating polynomials. Simulation experiments demonstrate that the algorithm provides a 3 dB improvement in noise robustness compared to eigenvalue decomposition. It also maintains high estimation accuracy, even with limited signal data volume.
