LPD communication waveform of joint time width waveform agility

Abstract:

In order to improve the performance of the low probability of detection (LPD) for the communication signal, the waveform framework based on joint agility of time width and waveform bases (JATW) is proposed from the perspective of reducing energy convergent characteristic (ECC) in various transform domains. Based on this framework, the chirp spread spectrum (CSS) and sinusoidal frequency spread spectrum (SFSS) are adopted as waveform bases, and a mixed LPD waveform based on VTW-CSS/SFSS is proposed using the parameter configuration method with the varied time width (VTM). Mathematical deduction and numerical simulation demonstrate the ECC of the proposed waveform over various transform domains. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results show that the proposed waveform reduces the ECC over various transform domains, compared with the CSS and the SFSS, the wareform framework based on JATW benefits the improvement of LPD feature for the communication waveform.
