Improved digital channelizer of low complexity

Abstract:

The digital channelizer based on the frequency domain filter and complex-exponential modulated filter bank is proposed where the independent communication signals can be extracted from the satellite uplink wideband signal, and be switched and synthesized. Finally, the signals are formed into a satellite downlink wideband signal. The proposed novel digital channelizer can be applied to scene of communication signals with equivalent bandwidth, as well as to the scene of communication signals with different bandwidth. Simulations verify the flexibility and scalability of the proposed channelizer. Furthermore, significant performance improvement and reduction in the memory size have been demonstrated while the computational complexity has been greatly reduced.
